Tuesday 11th February 2020 marks Safer Internet Day in the UK. As part of our commitment to ensuring students remain safe, KD Grammar has organised a training session for parents on e-safety. This will take place on Tuesday 11th February 2020, from 5pm – 7pm. The training session will be held in school.
The purpose of Safer Internet Day is to raise awareness of the continuing rise in issues relating to internet usage. In addition to this, the awareness day is designed to empower young people to take control of their digital lives. For 2020, the UK Safer Internet Centre focus is on online identity and asking young people to consider whether they are safe when online.
This training workshop for parents is an essential part of ensuring young people are safe when using the internet. With parental awareness, young people can be empowered to consider how they use the online space. This session is part of a range of activities taking place within school for staff and students to ensure your son is aware of safe internet use.
If you would like to attend this workshop, please confirm your attendance by completing the reply slip attached to the letter which has been emailed to all parents, and a copy has been given to your son.
We hope to see parents at this workshop, insha’Allah.
