Welcome to KD Grammar School for Boys

Welcome from the Executive Headteacher

In my position as Executive Headteacher with overall responsibility for all three schools within the Manchester Islamic Educational Trust (MIET), I would like to welcome you to KD Grammar School for Boys.

Since the founding of MIET over 25 years ago, and the subsequent establishment of our schools, we have strived to provide a modern, FAITH based education, full of high-quality LEARNING, leading to a fulfilling LIFE for all our students.

As we look to the future we can see that whatever the age or gender of your child, the MIET family of schools will provide them with a rich and empowering education, enhanced by excellent experiences and opportunities outside the classroom. All this is developed and delivered within a highly committed and appropriate Islamic context.

Our values of Faith, Learning and Life encapsulate this philosophy and I hope you will choose us to guide your child through their formative years.

Mrs Mona Mohamed
Executive Headteacher

Welcome from the Headteacher

Since my arrival in 2016, I have had both the privilege and immense pleasure of leading KD Grammar School for Boys and helping our young men excel across a broad range of disciplines. I am fortunate to have the support of a first-class Senior Leadership Team, an outstanding teaching staff, exceptionally strong governors and trustees, and a highly supportive parent body who, quite rightly, expect only the very best for their children.

Our boys are exposed to a wealth of opportunities both within and beyond the classroom. Our school places a strong emphasis on developing well-rounded young Muslim men who are proud of their Islamic faith, their cultural background and the country they live in. The result is young men that parents and the school can feel justifiably proud of.

From the moment they arrive in Year 7, our students are expected to achieve in a happy, caring and supportive environment. Regardless of ability, students are set challenging and ambitious targets for their academic progress resulting in excellent academic value-added performance. Our diverse and rich curriculum enables students of all abilities to be both supported and challenged. The school sets very high expectations for learning, development and maintenance of Islamic ethos, and promotes adherence to the highest standards of behaviour in accordance with our rules and values.

Feel free to come and witness the outstanding achievements of our students. I would be delighted to meet you in person, to show you around the school and answer any queries you may have.
